Funerals dont have to feel cold or overly formal, and they don’t have to be hushed voices and heavy words.
A funeral can be a precious moment to gather the people who mattered the most; to share stories, remember the laughs, the quirks, the habits, the sayings… all the little things that made your person exactly who they were.
There will, of course, be emotional moments. But it’s okay for there to be smiles between the tears, too. We can gently weave warmth and even a little humour through their story, because truly honouring someone’s life means remembering the funny bits as well as the deeply meaningful ones.

As a midwife specialising in bereavement care, I have supported families through some of the most fragile and emotional days of their lives. I understand how raw and overwhelming loss can feel, and how important it is to feel safe, listened to and gently guided.
A celebrant-led funeral gives you the freedom to create a farewell that truly reflects the person you love:
